Compassion is at The Heart of Our Care

KEEP TWO THINGS CLEARLY IN MIND

1.) The services provided depend on what the patient and the family need. Which services a patient receives and how often services are received are based on the needs of each patient and family. The services that are provided can be adjusted as the situation of the patient and family change over time. When patients decide to receive hospice care, the hospice talks with them about what their personalized care involves.

2.) In addition, a hospice nurse and doctor are on-call 24 hours a day,  7 days a week, to give you and your family support and care when you need it. A hospice doctor is part of your medical team. You can also choose to include your regular doctor, a nurse practitioner, or a physician’s assistant on your medical team as the attending medical professional who supervises your care. The hospice benefit allows you and your family to stay together in the comfort of your home, unless you need care in an inpatient facility. If your hospice provider decides you need inpatient hospice care, your hospice provider will make the arrangements for your stay
